Family

It is in giving of ourselves that we become rich. The first lessons in giving are in the family. A child learns to take of the family's love freely, and needs to, in turn, learn to give back freely to the family. Mother Angelica said that the greatest gift that we can give our children is UNSELFISHNESS. Children are happiest when they are in a loving home which provides them the opportunity to reciprocate that love with their actions.

Families grow closer by spending true quality time together. True quality time is free. Quality time is enjoying each other's company throughout the every day moments of life, in work, play, and prayer. Quality time is time spent working together and accomplishing something for a common good, such as the livelihood of the family or for charity for the neighbors. Quality time is picking berries together, planting a garden together, sewing a quilt together, playing music together, and praying together. Quality time is being aware of each other's needs and answering them.
